New species of stingless bee mite

Meet Proctotydaeus furnarius, a newly described brood mite of Australian stingless bees. These tiny mites live and breed inside the sealed brood cells and pupal cocoons of Tetragonula carbonaria and Tetragonula hockingsi. Are they harmful or helpful?
